Bothell straddles King and Snohomish counties, which creates an interesting dynamic: properties on the Snohomish side are often $50,000-$100,000 less than King County equivalents for comparable homes. Same city, same schools, different tax jurisdiction.

The median home price runs about $950,000. The UW Bothell campus has transformed the downtown area, bringing dining, retail, and a growing biotech presence. McMenamins Anderson School is a regional destination. The Burke-Gilman and Sammamish River trails connect Bothell to Seattle and Redmond.
